Delivery & Returns Policy

Unless otherwise stated, delivery dates provided on our website are estimates only. As a Consumer, please understand that we hold no liability for losses resulting from delivery delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, provided we couldn’t have taken reasonable steps to prevent such delays.

 

During peak seasons e.g. Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentines, Halloween, Black Friday.. we will cut off order/delivery times earlier and offer ‘guaranteed’ delivery by a specific date. We cannot absolutely guarantee orders if ordered after this deadline. We will still dispatch everyday so there may be a chance you will receive your order after this date, we just can’t guarantee it. Please check our social media channels and subscribe to our mails to keep up-to-date with order cut-off times.

Delivery will be considered complete once the products are delivered to the address specified during the ordering process

In case there’s no one available to accept the delivery, we and/or our delivery company will make reasonable efforts to contact you. However, please note that due to the perishable nature of our products, unsuccessful attempted deliveries cannot be returned to us or re-attempted at a later time.

To ensure a smooth delivery experience, please ensure that your delivery address, Eircode, and contact number are accurate at the time of ordering. Additionally, make sure there will be someone available to accept the order in the days leading up to the delivery.

We aim to dispatch all orders within 2 days of receiving the order. Please note our delivery company (DPD) only collect orders Monday-Friday (not including Public Holidays). All orders are normally delivered by DPD within 48 hours (not including weekends & public holidays) of Sugar Plum Sweetery dispatching the order.

After delivery, it’s important to inspect your goods promptly. If you encounter any issues or errors, notify us immediately. We will provide refunds for undelivered products or faulty items. We may substitute items in your delivery with the closest possible match to ensure you receive your order without delays. Our liability, however, is limited to the value of the faulty/undelivered goods.

The risk of damage or loss to the goods passes to you upon delivery, either to you or to a person designated by you to receive the goods.

We currently deliver across the island of Ireland (including the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland). We reserve the right not to deliver to certain locations. Occasionally, we might receive notifications from our third-party delivery service that an order cannot be delivered to a specific address. In such cases, affected locations may be disabled on our website or your account. We will also notify you via email or telephone.

We cannot be held liable for inconveniences, losses, or expenses arising from delivery delays caused by factors beyond our control, such as adverse weather, vehicle breakdowns, traffic congestion, or supplier failures. We will refund the value of any undelivered or compromised portion of your order due to such delay. We cannot compensate for losses due to delays. We will always do our utmost best to deliver your order as promptly as possible.

To accommodate potential delays, we recommend placing your order well in advance of your required delivery date. Please note that we do not provide credits, refunds, or discounts due to delays, as all delivery dates and guidelines are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. If you are ordering in advance of one of the peak seasons, please ensure you order before our cut off deadline (as posted on our social channels and in our subscriber mails) if you want guaranteed delivery in advance of key dates.

Our guarantee covers correctly addressed orders. However, due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot guarantee the condition if the delivery company reroutes your order. We cannot be held responsible for orders unable to be delivered on the first attempt or if you’ve made updates through customization options with the delivery company.

We are not responsible for failed deliveries in the following situations:

  • Providing an incorrect or outdated address
  • Recipient being out of town or unavailable
  • Failure to provide a corrected/new delivery address within 24 hours of the first delivery attempt
  • Shipments returned or rerouted due to incorrect addresses will incur additional charges for reshipment and/or carrier relabeling.
